China Railway Container Transport (CRCT) is trying to create block trains that run on time, as South Korean exports to Eastern Europe and Central Asia have to be transported through China’s Lianyungang port, instead of the Russian Far East container terminal at the sanctioned port of Vostochny.
Last year, 1.8m teu was transported on 17,000 block trains between China and Europe, and 600,000 teu on 5,800 between China and Central Asia.
