Almost every forwarder, carrier or shipper bemoans publicly, at some point, their lack of a crystal ball. It’s prevalent in news commentary on rates.
So it is perhaps unfair to ask several major carriers what their long-term plans are, environmentally speaking. The technology is not sufficiently developed, and there is no clear path right now. They don’t have crystal balls either.
